In this context, in order to implement the Opinions of the State Council on Accelerating the Development of Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industries (Guo Fa [2013] No. 30), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, launched the revision of the Catalogue of Major Environmental Protection Technologies and Equipment Encouraged by the State (2011 Edition) at the end of 2013.

The Catalogue is jointly compiled and published by the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Information Technology, together with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. A total of 1,200 technical equipment were collected from more than 570 institutions in the industry, and on this basis, the opinions of relevant departments and industry associations, experts and enterprises were widely solicited, and after two rounds of review and publication, the 2014 edition of the Catalogue was finally formed.
