Guangdong issued 3 million tons of paid carbon emission allowances for the first time

According to the website of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Guangzhou Carbon Emissions Trading Center will hold the 2013 paid quota auction on December 16. The amount of paid quota issued this time is 3 million tons. The distribution period will be 9:30-11:30 and 13:30-15:30 on 16 December this year. The reserve bid price is 60 yuan per tonne. This means that Guangdong Province is about to enter the pre-launch allowance issuance stage, and is expected to become the first pilot province in China to launch carbon emission trading.
