China will require low-carbon pilot provinces and cities to take the lead in proposing emission peaks
According to officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, China has identified 42 low-carbon pilot provinces and cities, and in the future, these provinces and cities will be required to propose greenhouse gas emission peak targets, so as to accelerate the total emission into the decline channel under the control of the peak target. It is revealed that at present, China has identified 6 provinces and autonomous regions low-carbon pilot cities, 36 low-carbon pilot cities, so far among the 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the mainland, except for Hunan, Ningxia, Tibet and Qinghai, each region has at least one low-carbon pilot city, it can be said that low-carbon pilot has basically been fully rolled out throughout the country.
